
Roger Moore was born in 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Education: Mr. Moore graduated from Woodberry Forest School (1964), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (A.B., 1968; J.D., 1973), Phi Delta Phi, and he was law clerk to the Honorable John D. Larkins, Jr., U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, from 1974-1975.
Memberships: Mr. Moore has been a member of the Judicial Conference for the Fourth Circuit since 1978. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Onslow County, North Carolina Bar Association, having held the position of president of the Onslow County Bar Association from 1994-1995. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and is a Board Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law, North Carolina State Board of Legal Specialization. He is a guest speaker at continuing education legal seminars. From 1977 to 2004 Mr. Moore served as county attorney for Onslow County. In 1986 he was president of the North Carolina Association of County Attorneys and in 1987 he was named North Carolina's outstanding county attorney.
In 1969-1970 Mr. Moore served in the Republic of Vietnam with the 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army. In May 1970, he was awarded the Bronze Star.
