Education: Roger A. Moore graduated from Woodberry Forest School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (A.B; J.D.) Phi Delta Phi, and was a law clerk to the Honorable John D. Larkins, Jr., U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina.

Memberships: Roger A. Moore is a member of the Judicial Conference for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Onslow County, North Carolina Bar Association, having held the position of president of the Onslow County Bar Association. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and is a Board Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law, North Carolina State Board of Legal Specialization. He has been a guest speaker at continuing education legal seminars. Attorney Moore has served as county attorney for Onslow County for 27 years. In 1986 he was president of the North Carolina Association of County Attorneys, and in 1987 he was named North Carolina's outstanding county attorney.

Roger A. Moore served in the Republic of Vietnam with the 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
